About Me
Jaynee was first introduced to photography in college. She was mesmerized by the world of film. She would spend her day capturing images and couldn’t wait to get back the to dark room to process her images to print. It was mystical. Blank pages brought to life under red lights. There was a calm with photography that she enjoyed.
She graduated from Loyola University Chicago and entered the workforce as a registered nurse. She thrived in the fast-paced environment. She had a passion for patient care and would often get lost in her conversations with her patients. But she missed the quietness that comes in losing yourself in your art. It was not long until a camera found itself in her hands once again.
She found the similarities in both nursing and photography to be very complementary. They both have a very technical side, nursing’s clinical and photography’s settings. And of course had the artistic element, nursing’s skills and intuition to photography’s composition and post processing. And both have a strong presence of family, which Jaynee believes she was most drawn to.
Jaynee has been active in the photography world since 2013. When she is not lost in her work, you can find her with her spending time with her family.
